Visit of the evaluation committee for the “Best Leading College in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals” competition.

In line with Beni Suef University's ongoing pursuit of institutional excellence and its commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Faculty of Technology and Education welcomed a visit from the evaluation committee for the "Best Leading Faculty in Achieving the SDGs" competition on Sunday, March 29, 2026.
This visit was held under the auspices of Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and with the support of Professor Dr. Mervat Refaat, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Sayed, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The evaluation committee comprised a distinguished group of academic and administrative leaders, chaired by Professor Dr. Zein El Abdeen Abdel Sattar, former advisor to the University President for Community Service and Environmental Development. Other members included Professor Dr. Ibrahim Abdel-Gawad, former Dean of the Faculty of Earth Sciences; Professor Dr. Mohamed Madi, former Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts; Ms. Intisar Mohamed, Director General of Environmental Projects; and Mr. Bassem Farouk, Director of the Technical Office of the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The visit commenced with an outstanding presentation by Dr. Ahmed El-Sayed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development. In his presentation, Dr. El-Sayed highlighted the Faculty's key efforts in community service and environmental development, emphasizing the initiatives and activities implemented to support the Sustainable Development Goals and their alignment with Egypt's Vision 2030. He also underscored the vital role of the Faculty in preparing qualified graduates capable of meeting labor market demands and contributing to comprehensive development. Following the presentation, the committee conducted a comprehensive tour of the college, visiting its various workshops and laboratories, the student projects exhibition, the college library, and administrative offices, as well as meeting with several faculty members. During the tour, the committee focused on practically observing learning outcomes, assessing the skills and knowledge students acquire and their relevance to real-world applications and community needs. The committee expressed particular interest in student projects, which clearly demonstrated the application of academic knowledge to the Sustainable Development Goals by offering innovative solutions in diverse fields such as industry, the environment, and energy. This underscores the college's success in connecting the educational process to actual development challenges. The committee commended the evident integration between the academic and applied aspects of the college, reflecting a strategic vision aimed at achieving sustainability and fostering innovation among students. In closing, the committee praised the efforts made, which demonstrate a genuine commitment to excellence and leadership, and affirmed that the college is steadily progressing towards achieving a prominent position among the university's colleges.
