n line with the state's direction towards strengthening the link between academic education and practical application, and developing national industrial awareness among university students, a delegation from Beni Suef University – specifically the Faculty of Technology and Education – organized a field visit to the Beni Suef National Cement Company's factory complex.
This visit was under the auspices of Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, President of the University; Professor Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Professor Dr. Abu El-Hassan, Vice President for Environmental Affairs and Community Development.
The visit was organized by Professor Dr. Mervat Refaat, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Education, and supervised by Professor Dr. Essam Hamad, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Sayed, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Mustafa Wagih, Coordinator of Student Activities at the Faculty; and Mr. Ali Ibrahim, Director of Student Welfare at the Faculty.
The visit aimed to provide students with a direct, field-based learning experience, introducing them to national projects, production stages, and the latest industrial technologies. This will support the development of their practical skills and enhance their readiness for the job market, in light of the Republic's vision for human development and the qualification of young talent. During the field visit to the industrial complex, students learned about the cement manufacturing process, the mechanisms for implementing quality and production standards, and the role of national industry in supporting the economy and achieving sustainable development goals. They also gained insight into the scale of achievements and the industrial boom Egypt is witnessing across various sectors.
This visit comes within the context of the comprehensive development boom the country is experiencing in the industrial field, and the promising opportunities it offers graduates in the future. Furthermore, it plays a role in instilling a sense of national pride and belonging in the students, and enhancing their awareness of the significant developmental achievements taking place in the country.
