Workshop at the Faculty of Technology and Education, Beni Suef University, to Enhance Institutional and Programmatic Accreditation Readiness
Under the auspices of His Excellency Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, President of Beni Suef University, Professor Dr. Abulhassan Abdelmawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Professor Dr. Heba El-Shimy, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, Professor Dr. Abeer Moawad, Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, and with the support of Professor Dr. Mervat Refaat, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Education, and Dr. Ahmed El-Sayed, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The Faculty of Technology and Education at Beni Suef University hosted a specialized workshop on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, entitled:
"Meeting Institutional and Programmatic Accreditation Standards (Required Tasks) for Category (B) Faculties." The workshop was held at the Faculty premises at 10:00 AM, with the participation of a select group of faculty members, as part of supporting quality assurance efforts and enhancing the Faculty's readiness to obtain institutional and programmatic accreditation.
The workshop included a series of specialized scientific presentations and academic interventions. Professor Heba El-Shimy, Director of the University's Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, reviewed leadership and governance standards, program mission and management, and quality management and development systems from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
Associate Professor Marwa Hassan presented on the standards for faculty members, administrative staff, students, and graduates from 11:00 to 12:00 PM, explaining mechanisms for developing institutional performance in these areas.
Similarly, Professor Abeer Sayed, Deputy Director of the University's Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, addressed the standards for material and financial resources and the role of community engagement from 12:30 to 1:30 PM, emphasizing the importance of integrating resources with community service. The workshop concluded with a lecture by Professor Abdel Aziz Saber, who addressed the standard of scientific research and postgraduate studies from 1:30 to 2:30 PM, highlighting the role of scientific research in supporting academic excellence.
This workshop is part of Beni Suef University's commitment to promoting a culture of quality and enhancing the readiness of its faculties to meet the requirements for institutional and program accreditation, thereby contributing to the development of the educational process and raising the level of academic performance.
