A scientific trip to the Linto Ceramics factory

The Faculty of Technology and Education at Beni Suef University is organizing a field trip to the Linto Ceramics Factory for first-year students in the technological programs.

This initiative aims to support the educational process and bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application. It is held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali, University President; Prof. Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. The trip is organized with the support of Prof. Dr. Mervat Refaat, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Education, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Essam Hamad, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Ahmed El-Sayed, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Bar, Technological Programs Coordinator; and Dr. Mustafa Wagih, Student Activities Coordinator.

The Faculty of Technology and Education organized a distinguished field trip for students in its technology programs to the Linto Ceramics Factory in the industrial zone of Beni Suef Governorate on Monday, April 20, 2026. First-year students from the Production Technology, Industrial Electronics and Control Technology, and Construction Technology programs participated.

The visit was supervised by a select group of faculty members and teaching assistants at the factory: Dr. Amal Ibrahim, Dr. Samah Abdel Rahman, Eng. Mohamed Bassiouni, and Eng. Mahmoud Rabie Sadek. They provided a detailed, hands-on explanation of the ceramic manufacturing process, from raw material preparation and mixing to grinding, shaping, pressing, drying, firing in kilns, final inspection, and packaging.

The trip offered students a unique opportunity to learn about the latest production lines and industrial technologies, enhancing their practical understanding and connecting their studies to real-world applications. The visit also had a positive impact on students across various disciplines. Production technology students benefited from studying operating systems and product quality, while industrial electronics and control students learned about automated control systems and smart production lines. Construction and building technology students were introduced to the structural and engineering aspects of the factory.

This visit is part of a series of practical activities that the college is keen to organize, with the aim of preparing graduates who are competitive in the job market and keep pace with the demands of industrial development.
